good evening parents my name is Ron Brown and I am proud to serve as the principal of Weldon stem High School career academies is truly my pleasure to welcome you to our virtual open house tonight you will have an opportunity to meet your child's teachers find out what your student will learn over the course of the year and understand the teachers academic expectation so that we can work together to help your child succeed at Rosenstein it is our mission to provide the best education possible for every student and it is our philosophy that this only happens when there is cooperation and communication between the school and families at home parents we know that the success of our students is a result of many positive contributing factors your presents online tonight is a strong indication of your commitment to your child's education the bottom we are glad you are online with us tonight and we appreciate your support to make sure that your student is in attendance online complete his or hers assignment and is prepared for instruction we encourage you to continue this commitment throughout the school year and to stay informed of your academic success before you meet our teachers I would like to make you aware of some of our expectations during remote learning parents please make sure your phone numbers and email addresses are updated this way easily and quickly communicate with you and there are concerns and we can do quickly address any concerns you may have students must have their video camera on the entire block to be counted present if that doesn't students will be removed from class and parents will be notified it is imperative that students are saying that all time and engaged in live lesson who is must be wearing appropriate attire take to arrive within 10 minutes of class starting students will be given to grade assignments per week each class students and parents make sure you review daily announcements and expectations on train tab Google classroom and share any concerns to your teacher assistant principal or principle immediately finally well the stem High School is committed to safety after the first nine weeks are up if it's decided that our students will return just know that our school and District have taken numerous measures to keep our children safe we will follow all this pic State guidelines as it relates to protecting our students from covid-19 as principal is my mission to make sure that our students are able to focus on our priority which is learning I appreciate all of the teachers for being here tonight we have a remarkable team of teachers that are committed to student I hope you approve I hope you appreciate them as much as I do they're putting a lot of work and effort to help every student reach his or her potential finally I thank you to parents for trusting us with your most prized possession that's your children I hope over the course of the year we continue to make you proud to call challenging time for all of us during this trying time we know that with every answer comes more question we will continue do our best to ensure your understanding of all expectations given we promise
