greetings charge of families actually have no idea how to start this video off so I am just going to go for it because my name is Rodger Johnson and I have the extreme pleasure of being the new school counselor at Williamston High School I am originally from Saint Paul's North Carolina that causes a real real small town located just south Fayetteville just north of Lumberton 95 but that is home for me I attended school at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University always always always always a great day to be an Aggie I graduated in 2010 with my bachelor's in biology and I went back in 2017 Mercedes-Benz School Board to count my Apple finish that programmed in November a little bit about me since I haven't really gotten to meet a lot of you guys because of the way the world is set up right now so I like to go hiking I also like to play basketball I like to play volleyball Kenneth I used to be a but I told my achilles in between that and shin splint we just kinda running anymore so shut up and two day pass ready to run I'm going to give you a couple updates when I want virtually my sent out that you are posted a newsletter but since everyone else is virtual I wanted to join the virtual world and make a video for you all sides have a few dates that I want to read remind everyone about September 7th is Labor Day so there is no school there is no class September 9th there is a singing class meeting at 2 I will be sending out email prior to this meeting with the stuff that you need to complete before the meeting so if you could do me a favor to get those a favor and completely stuff whatever do I have to thin before then we'll be able to have more productive meeting on the 9th at 2 thank you so much for that in advance on September 10th early release day September 14th there's going to be a dream class being so the same thing applies. set for the seniors there's going to be information sent out to make sure you check your inbox September 16th there will be a sophomore class meeting at 2 and there will be a freshman class meeting at 2:45 or we're having two or one DeStorm going to everybody should be on your p's and q's I'm signing in on time so that we can get both meetings and during that time. Also progress reports go out that day so make sure that you are taking care of yourself before then if you don't want your pants see anything that you might not be proud of December is suicide prevention month if you or someone you know is having thought issues concerns anything related to Suicide please let's not a thing to be silent about if you know the one who needs help please talk to someone please refer them to someone refer them to me so that I can refer them to someone else just make sure that they get the do they need because it's better safe than sorry I'm going to give you the number to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline get is one eight hundred two seven three eight two five five and there are trained counselors available 24 hours a day 7 days a week you're not alone so talk to someone get the help that you deserve this is going to wrap up this version of the counseling directions to I will see you guys next time
