Boys and Girls Club Feeding Program

The boys and girls club of Roanoke Rapids has asked that we share a feeding program for families in the Roanoke Valley. Meals are provided between the hours of 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The location is 116 W. 3rd St. in Roanoke Rapids. Students will be permitted to enroll to receive the meals.

2020 Immunization Update

The immunization requirement of the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine ACWY (MCV4) was updated July 2015 effective August 1, 2020. A booster dose of MCV4 is required for all rising 12th grade students or by 17 years of age, whichever comes first. If the first dose of MCV4 is administered to your child on or after their 16th birthday, the booster dose is not required.


Mrs. Krissy Pittman-Martin, AIG Coordinator with Weldon City Schools hosted a ZOOM Ethel Crawley Scholarship Annoucement this morning. School Administrators and teachers participated in the virtual announcement. The Ethel W. Crawley Memorial Education Fund Scholarship directs a scholarship selection committee to award a full four-year scholarship that will cover tuition, room, board, school fees, and books.

Ms. Nautika Northington, the recipient, is a senior at Weldon STEM High School and the daughter of Kyman and Connie Northington.
