Weldon City Schools Board Members Attend Annual Conference

WELDON, NC 20 NOVEMBER 2022- All seven of Weldon City Schools Board members attended the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) annual conference in Greensboro (NC). The conference ran between November 13th-16th and was open all to school systems throughout the state. The conference featured speakers during general sessions and breakout sessions of which Board members could choose from a variety of offerings. Of note, two leaders from Weldon City Schools were breakout session presenters for two different sessions. Superintendent Dr. Dannie Williams, along with the Board Clerk, attended the conference as well.

“The fact that our entire Board attended the conference is testament to their commitment to growing as Board members and their dedication to increasing their capacity to serve the families of Weldon,” said Dr. Williams. “It’s no easy feat to undertake the number of hours of training that they have done,” he added. The Board was once again recognized at the conference with the NCSBA Gold Bell Award for the entire Board’s completion of training hours.
